Commuter:
Session I June 15 – July 3 $750.00
Session II July 6 – July 24 $750.00
Session III June 15 – July 24 $1200.00
Resident*:
Session I June 14 – July 4 $3000.00

Session III June 14 – July 25 $5000.00
*This includes room, board, private lessons, master classes, chamber music coaching’s, and on-campus recreational activities. Upon notification of acceptance a $500 tuition deposit is required to hold your place and is due by March 30. This deposit will be applied to the total cost of tuition. (Deposits are refundable only until May 15.) All participants are asked to arrive and depart on these dates. Transportation can be arranged by StringendoSchool for Strings only on these days to and from the Palm BeachInternationalAirport, West Palm Beach Amtrak Station, or the West Palm Beach Greyhound Bus Station.
A substantial subsidy is built into Stringendo School For Strings tuition in an effort to keep costs minimal while maintaining the highest quality program. Therefore, a very limited amount of financial assistance is available for study at Stringendo School For Strings. Please investigate your local community (churches, schools, and arts organizations) as sources of financial aid. Scholarships are only available to full-time, on-campus students. Those interested in seeking scholarship assistance should include with their application materials, a letter addressed to the Stringendo School For Strings Financial Aid Committee, outlining the request and the need upon which it is based.

To Audition:
Applicants may audition live or by DVD, mini DV cassette, regardless of whether they have previously attended Stringendo School For Strings. Identify your DVD or DV cassette by writing your name, age, instrument and the works performed on the label. You may also upload your video to YouTube and e-mail the link to patrick_clifford@pba.edu.
Repertoire should include a movement from a standard concerto and a movement of a solo Bach Sonata, Partita or Suite. A movement of an unaccompanied work of comparable technical difficulty may be substituted for solo Bach.
Application Timeline
March 1, 2009: Deadline for receipt of application materials. Applications submitted after March 1 will be considered if there is space available.

March 2, 2009: Admission Notification Letters Sent.
Contact the Admissions Office if you have not received your letter by May 10th. International students are first notified by e-mail, followed by airmail letter notification.
March 30th, 2009 $500 Tuition Reservation Deposit Due. :
Deposits must be received (not postmarked) in the Admissions Office by this date. Arrival of the deposit after the March 30th deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list. In case of cancellation before May 1st, $250 of the deposit will be refunded. After May 1st, no refund is given. Students withdrawing for any reason once the session is in progress will not be eligible for a refund.
May 30th, 2007 Balance of account must be paid in full.
Arrival of the final tuition payment after the May 30th deadline may result in loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list and is subject to a $50.00 late fee. |
